Events Coordinator

Duties

  • Motivate members through his or her enthusiastic attitude toward PRSSA

  • Coordinate meeting room with Scheduling Office; reserve room that can hold 30-50 people (This is done on Peppervine)

  • Network and make contacts with possible speakers. Keep a file of contacts made throughout the year. (Share information with Vice President and Alumni Coordinator and on Drive)

  • Coordinate chapter participation in campus activities and regional leadership conferences, submit paperwork and registration, and organize logistics.

  • Work with the Treasurer and President in coordinating the Executive Committee Retreat each semester, the Membership Initiation Banquet, any PRSA Mixer events.

  • Coordinate members and officers to attend the PRSSA meetings and maintain the hospitality table by signing members in, collecting money, and giving name tags.

  • Create and implement fundraising projects with Treasurer—preferably ones which do not require start-up money (if feasible for the calendar year). 

  • Contact contributors by letter and e-mail as well as send thank-you letters to those who contribute.

  • Update and maintain the chapter Gmail calendar with planned and potential events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and interest in planning events/meetings

  • Organized

  • Collaborative nature

  • Positive attitude

  • Strong written communication skills

E-Board positions are open to all majors!
